Charles Dodson

Charles Samuel Dodson of Potosi, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of seventy one years, two months and twelve days. He was born on July 4, 1943 at Three Hill Creek located in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son to the late Thomas Dodson and Katie (Lore) Dodson.

Charles was united in marriage to Peggy Lu Keehn on August 15, 1964, at Soldier, Kansas, and four children were born to this union.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are daughter Pamela (Bo) Hubbard; three sons Charles Dodson Jr.; Timothy Dodson; Dwayne Dodson; sister Dorothy O'Neail; Dear Friend Melody Pauley; twelve grandchildren Qunton, Ryan, Gage, Quincy, Nathan Ray, Houston, Savannah, Sophia, Bailey, Lincoln, Timothy and baby Lawson; two great grandchildren Tinsley and Tatum; and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Peggy Lu Dodson; five brothers Tommy Dodson, Leon Dodson, Robert Dodson, Billy Dodson and Curtis Dodson; three sisters Aleen Politte, Virginia Thurman and Alberta Lamkey; half sister Gladys Ramsey.

Visitation for Charles will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM and Friday, September 19, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the DeClue Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Reverend Don Strauser officiating. Charles funeral service will be conclude with Full Military Honors presented by the United States Air Force and Desloge VFW Post 2426.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Soldier Cemetery in Soldier, Kansas on Sunday, September 21, 2014.
