Charles Dilbeck, Sr., of Potosi departed this life on September 9, 2008 at his residence. Having reached the age of 57 years, 11 months, and 11days. He was born in Covington, Indiana on September 29, 1950, as son of the late Pete and Phyllis Dilbeck.
On October 7, 1995 he was united in marriage to Darlene Harris at Herculaneum, Missouri. There where two daughters born to that union, Valerie and Rebecca.
In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his son Paul Dilbeck; brothers, Virgil Dilbeck, Joey Dilbeck, Timmy Dilbeck; and sister Carla Henne.
Charles retired from Chrysler 2001; he was a member of the UAW local 110. At the plant he had many dear friends. Charles was known there among those friends as ?Don?t Worry About It?.
Charles was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles club in Viburnum, Missouri. The Fraternal Order of Eagles, unites fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills, and by promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope. Charles shared the all same view as this organization and joined in 2007.
Those who remain to mourn his passing of his life include his wife Darlene Dilbeck; daughters Valerie Dilbeck and Rebecca Dilbeck; son Charles Dilbeck, Jr. and family; grandson, Brett Davis; brother Billy Dilbeck of Missouri; sisters Pam Newberry and husband Dave; Sue Bronaugh and husband Bill; Ruth Dilbeck; Sherry McCastling; Cindy Dilbeck; Yolanda Hitt; Shelia Dilbeck all of Illinois; stepmother Peggy Delbeck.
A memorial service was held Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10 am at the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri.
