Charlene Civey

Charlene Civey of Bixby, Missouri was born on October 2, 1946 in Bixby, a daughter to the late Glen A. Helms and the late Zoe A. (Crocker) Helms. On October 30, 1965, Charlene was united in Holy Matrimony to George Civey and they shared nearly fifty-two years together.

Charlene went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home having reached the age of seventy years, ten months and twenty-five days.

Charlene will be missed by all those who knew and loved her including her husband and friend forever, Rev. George Civey of Bixby; two sisters: Glenda Hedgcoth and husband Don of Farmington and Mary Mathes of Perryville; also surviving are a host of special nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Charlene was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerome Doyle Helms and Paul Helms.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 9-11 a.m. at the Viburnum Christian Church. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 11 a.m. with her nephew, Matthew Helms officiating.

Honoring Charlene by serving as pallbearers will be Tom Miles, Jimmie Helms, Mike Erp, Colten Wigger, Dylan Helms, Clayton Helms and Earl Eaves. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brady and Ryan Bennett.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Boss Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements and services for Charlene during this time of remembrance.
