Cecil Henson

Cecil R. Henson of Mineral Point, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of eighty seven years, five months and four days. He was born on October 11, 1927 in Potosi, Missouri a son to the late Alfred Henson and Ethel (Cauley) Henson. On February 21, 1948 Cecil was united in marriage to Lucy Ellen French and they shared sixty seven years together. Survivors include his beloved wife Lucy "Pat" Henson of Mineral Point; five children Mary Yvonne Doss and husband Gary of Bowling Green, KY; Gary Wayne Henson and wife Faye of Mineral Point; Rhonda Minks and husband John of Potosi; Larry Thomas Henson of Potosi; Bruce Henson and special friend Karen Skiles of Old Mines; eight grandsons, one granddaughter, sixteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren; also surviving are many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by his grandson Darrell Doss; great grandson Dieon Hernandes; four brothers Lonnie, George, Jim and Fred Henson; five sisters Roxie Golden; Gladys Richards; Alberta Richards; Helen Bonaires and Velda Casemaker. Visitation for Cecil will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home 301 East High Street Potosi, Missouri 63664. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Glory Hill Assembly of God Church located at 17834 State Hwy. AA Potosi, Missouri 63664. Elder Leonard Compton will be officiating. Interment will be held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
