Cathy James

Cathy E. James, of Warrenton, Missouri, was born on August 11, 1953 in Palmer, Missouri, a daughter to the late Alonzo Nipper and the late Hazel (Martin) Nipper. Cathy departed this life on Monday, October 23, 2023, surrounded by her family, having reached the age of 70 years, 2 months and 12 days.

Those who remain to treasure her memory include her husband, Edward James; her four children: Cassandra Williams, Cody James (wife, Ashley), Nick James (Fiancé, Ginger), Joseph James (Fiancé, Kailie); three step sons: Chris James, Danny James, and Rick James (wife, Beth); step daughter, Regina Stefano; grandchildren: Christopher James, Jordan James, Payton James, Dakota Williams, Hannah James, Lilly James, Liam James, Tanya McDowell, Eric James, Angel and Katie Stefano, Quinton Smith and Kersten Smith; four great grandchildren; three siblings: Doris Lawson, Larry Nipper (wife, Colleen), Bob Nipper (wife, Carlene); sister-in-law, CeAnn Nipper; brothers-in-law: Harry Harter and Ardell Gray. Cathy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In addition to her father and mother, Cathy was preceded in death by two grandsons: Travis James and Doug James; daughters-in-law: Andrea James and Toni James; son-in-law, Luigi Stefano; and five siblings and in-laws: Alvin Nipper (wife, Ruth Ann), Bonnie Senter (husband, Bob), Bill Nipper, Linda Harter, and Shirley Gray.

A time of visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at DeClue Funeral Home from 9 am until the time of her Funeral Service at 11 am. Elder Leonard Compton will officiate Cathy's service. Interment and final prayers will follow at Palmer Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
