Catherine Hurtz

Catherine Hurtz of Richwoods, Missouri departed this life on October 8, 2009 at the St. Clair Nursing Center having reached the age of seventy years, ten months and thirteen days. She was born on November 25, 1938 at Ebo, Missouri a daughter to the late Everett Wolfe and Mae Rose (Hansel) Wolfe.
On January 7, 1956 Catherine was united in marriage to Donald Hurtz and they shared fifty three years together.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by a sister Alma Kyle.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her husband Donald Hurtz of Richwoods; two daughters Kimberly Hurtz of Richwoods, Donna Martinez and husband Jesus of Bismarck; two sons Donald Hurtz, Jr. of Richwoods, Dennis Hurtz of Richwoods; brother Walter Wolfe of San Diego, CA; sister Dorothy Reed of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Max Mattingly officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Casey Hurtz, Scott Hurtz, Guy Johnson, Eddie Gunther, Dennis Hurtz and John Griffin.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
