Carolyn Romona Bowles of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on October 25, 2013 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of seventy one years, four months and fourteen days. She was born on June 11, 1942 in Belgrade, Missouri a daughter to the late Ralph Masson and Modell (Collins) Masson.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a daughter Pamela Ellen Dudley, nephew Jim Belfield, step father Donald Lawson, sister Cheryl Diane Belfield and grandparents Homer & Ellen Whitt.
On July 25, 1959, Carolyn was united in marriage to Dean Bowles and they shared fifty four years.
Carolyn loved to crochet, go for rides, sit on her porch to look at her flowers and read her Bible. What was most important to her was her faith and family. She always found the good in every person.
Carolyn may have had only two daughters and three grandchildren, but she was "mom" and "granny" to so many others. Her hugs, smiles, laugh, words and legacy will live on in our memories forever. In Christ we can do all things through him who strengthens us. Until we meet again!
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband of fifty four years Dean Bowles of Mineral Point; daughter Jill Arnold and husband Rodney of Mineral Point; sister Vickie Lawson-Johnson and husband Bill of St. Louis; five brothers Donald Lawson and wife Sherry of Denver, Colorado, Randall Lawson and wife Lynna of Lebanon, Missouri, Rodney Lawson of Hopewell, Bryan Lawson and wife Debbie of Hopewell, Dennis Lawson and wife Marsha of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren Cameron Dudley, Garrett Arnold, Megan Arnold; a host of relatives and friends who celebrate her passing.
