Carol Sue Suttles

Carol Sue Suttles of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on September 15, 1945, a daughter to the late Herbert Stringer and the late Mildred LaChance. On December 23, 1961, Carol was united in marriage to Joseph Suttles and they shared fifty-six years together.

Sue entered eternal rest on January 5, 2018 at the age of seventy-two years.

Sue will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband Joe Suttles of Mineral Point; children: Terry Suttles and Carla of O’Fallon, Peggy Gajdosik and Ben Holbrook of Potosi, Bryan Suttles of Potosi, Roger Suttles of Milwaukee, WS, Stanley Suttles and Sadonya of Mineral Point, and Crystal Suttles of Mineral Point; sister, Faye Gamble and Kenny of Mineral Point; ten grandchildren: Theresa Ryan, Kelly and Greg Edinger, Chad Wallace, Taylor Gajdosik, Lauren and Adam Dickey, Cody Suttles, Eric Suttles, Ashley and Mickey Mendenhall, Tori Suttles, and Trevor Suttles; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Delaina Stringer and Pauline Stringer; also surviving are many extended family members and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her son, Clayborne Suttles; brothers: Grassy and Bert Stringer, Ralph Stringer, Rob Stringer, and Jerry Stringer; sisters: Janet and Bill Goodson, and Maxine “Sis” O’Neail.

Visitation for Sue will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, January 8, 2018, beginning at 11:00 AM.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 8, 2018, held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kenny Gamble officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
