Carol Joan Miner of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on April 8, 2011 at her residence having reached the age of sixty four years, eleven months and eleven days. She was born on April 28, 1946 at Cadet, Missouri a daughter to the late Isaac Benson and Effie (Haggard) Benson.
On January 9, 1965 Carol was united in marriage to Carl Miner and they shared forty six years together.
Carol was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her sisters. Some of her favorite pastimes were writing poems, watching the birds at the bird feeder, crocheting and she loved wild flowers. She was a great cook and was famous for her biscuits and gravy and her chocolate cake.
Carol was a member of The River Christian Center. She loved going to church and was a true Christian woman. She always put everyone else before herself and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Anyone who knew Carol loved her.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a daughter Shelly Miner, two brothers in law Harold Yount, Jesse Holmes, son in law Darrell Doss and a nephew John Holmes.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Carl Miner of Potosi; four daughters Robin Huerta and husband Adrian of Potosi; Lisa Aubuchon and husband Ed of Cadet; Becky McMahan and husband Danny of Potosi; Jennifer Harmon and husband Richard of Potosi; two sons Adam Miner and wife Stacy of Potosi; Kevin Miner and wife Britney of Potosi; five sisters Betty Link and husband Harold of Cadet; Jean Yount of Potosi; Joyce Wilkerson and husband Jim of Mineral Point; Jerri Holmes of New Florence; Linda Miner and husband Clarence of Cadet; brother Earnie Benson and wife Sharon of Iron Mountain; nineteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Cody Aubuchon, Justin Doss, Nick McMahan, Jordan Huerta, Clayton Miner, John Arkulari, Jason Wilkerson and Scott Boyster.
Interment and final prayers were held at Miner Family Cemetery, Potosi. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
