Carl Russell

Carl E. Russell of Potosi, Missouri went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 28, 1926, in Potosi, Missouri, having reached the age of eighty nine years and fourteen days. Carl was a son to the late Joel E. Russell and the late Dollie I. Wade Russell.

On April 7, 1973, Carl was united in marriage to Mary Evelyn Anderson in Sullivan, Missouri, and they shared nearly forty three years together.

Carl is survived by his loving and devoted wife Evelyn Russell of Potosi; two daughters Carla Joy Pyeatt and husband Rev. Danny of Antigo, Wisconsin; Candace Micke and husband Gary of Potosi; two brothers Jerry “Hank” Russell and wife Katricia of Potosi; James Russell and wife JoAnn of Jacksonville, Florida; sister Wilma Horton of Irondale; five grandchildren A’Laura, Annah, Nathaniel, Alayna and Jackson; two sisters-in-law Loretta Russell of Potosi and Wanda Russell of Belgrade; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by one grandson baby Wyatt Austin Micke; four brothers Joel “Dude” Russell, Lester “Leck” Russell, George “Doc” Russell and Billy Russell; two sisters-in-law Ruth and Marie Russell; brother-in-law Marvin Horton.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 5-8 pm and Wednesday, December 16, from 10 am till 1 pm at the DeClue Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Carl will be conducted on Wednesday, December 16, at 1 pm at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Wade officiating assisted by Rev. Danny Pyeatt and Rev. Matt Woods.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
