Carl Theodore DeClue of Belgrade, Missouri entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family, having reached the age of sixty nine years and seven months. He was born on May 26, 1946 in Quaker, Missouri, a son to the late Theodore Faris DeClue and the late Lorine (Hill) DeClue.
On March 6, 1967, Carl was united in marriage to Linda Darlene Warren in Belgrade, Missouri and they shared nearly forty nine years together.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Darlene DeClue of Belgrade; two daughters Peggy DeClue and Jerry Aldridge of DeSoto; Marti DeClue of Belgrade; two grandchildren Dexter McCray and Kenna DeClue; special family friends Amanda Helms of Irontonand Willard and Kathy Welker of Belgrade; two brothers Rev. Darrell DeClue and wife Beverly of Charlotte, North Carolina, Linnie DeClue and wife Tammy of Belleview, MO; three sisters Blanch Essmyer of Jefferson County, Linda Kay Messex of Old Mines and Earleen "Sam" Villmer and husband Richard of Old Mines; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his son Ted DeClue; brother Leo DeClue; sister Doris Wilkins and two infant twin sisters.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 30, from 5-8 pm and Thursday, December 31, from 10 am until 2 pm at the DeClue Funeral Home.
A funeral service was conducted on Thursday, December 31, at 2 pm held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Asher officiating assisted by Rev. Harvey Buckley.
Honoring Carl by serving as his pallbearers were Jacob Moss, Travis Wilkins, Larry White, Nicholas DeClue, Brian Brodigan, and Brian Morris. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Willard Welker and Leon Stricklin.
Concluding services were held at the Antioch Cemetery with Rev. Dale Stringer.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
