Bobby ?Asphalt Man? Paul Senter of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on February 1, 2009 at his residence having reached the age of seventy three years, three months and one day. He was born on October 31, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Robert Senter and Molly Dugan Senter.
Bobby served in the United States Army for three years. He was a proud American and considered it an honor to be an American citizen.
Bobby had many friends he kept in contact with via CB radio. He shared many laughs and jokes with these men. He used the handle ?Asphalt Man? which was a name given to him many years ago. He will be dearly missed on the radio airways by all these dear friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons Malcolm Senter and David Lee Berry; a brother Malcolm Senter; and a sister Lorriane Alexander.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are three sons Robbie Senter and wife Bernadette of Ridgefield, Washington; Richard Senter of Cadet; Brian Senter and special friend Debbie of Desoto; four daughters Julie Senter of Illinois; Gladys Warden and husband Al of Cadet; Barbara Cain and special friend Andreas of Cadet; Hope Berry and special friend Ronnie of Desloge; sister Marie Hug and husband Ralph of Herman, Missouri; brother in law and sister in law Harry and Linda Harter of Warrenton; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many other brothers in law; sisters in law; family and CB friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 6, 2009 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were William Berry, Shelby Warden, Jeff Senter, Richie Senter, Jarred Graham, Joe James, Jerry Crocker, Mel Reese. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Senter and Zack Pettibone.
Interment and final prayers were held at Palmer Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
