Bobby Harper

August 22, 1931 — April 26, 2012

Bobby G. Harper of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on April 26, 2012 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty years, eight months and four days. He was born on August 22, 1931 in Mine La Motte, Missouri a son to the late Jesse C. Harper and Bertha (Tinnin) Harper.
Bob was a loving and devoted husband for 49 ½ years. When Ramona passed away, a part of him went with her. He was also an amazing Dad and Grandpa. He was always available at a moment's notice.
He loved to listen to and sing Southern Gospel Music. He blessed many people through the years singing in The Happy Hearts Quartet and with various other groups.
During softball season, it wouldn't be hard to find him. Just go to the nearest field and he would probably be umpiring. If the Potosi Trojans were playing basketball, football or baseball chances were pretty strong that he could be found in the stands. He even added track and cross country during Daniel's running career with PHS. As well as volleyball and dance recitals when Sarah was involved. For many years during the week of the Washington County Fair, it was a given that he would be at the fairgrounds all day until the fair closed at night. He had the gift of Service and always served with a ready and willing heart.
Bob was a longtime member of the Potosi Southern Baptist Church and longtime past member of the Potosi Lions Club.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his , loving wife Ramona A. Harper and a granddaughter Christine Harper.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his Son Robert E. Harper and wife Monie of Lexington Park, Maryland; three daughters Susan A.
