Bobby Leroy Hambey, Sr. of Cadet, Missouri was born on October 7, 1936, a son to the late Luther Hamby and the late Rose (Barton) Hamby. On December 23, 1954, Bobby was united in marriage to Cleo Jarvis.
Bobby passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Mercy Jefferson having reached eighty-one years of age.
In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cleo (Jarvis) Hamby; sisters: Velma Hamby, Norma Hamby, Loretta Brewer, and Verna Crocker; brothers: Luther William Hamby, Jr., Vernon Hamby, Ronald Hamby, Orville Hamby, Walter Hamby, and Danny Hamby; and special friend, Fredia Wright.
Survivors include two sons: Bobby (Debbie) Hamby, Jr. and Alan (Crystal) Hamby; two daughters: Karen (Mark) Hamby - Canepari and LeAnn (Roger) Guenther; two brothers: Pete Hamby and Kenny (Kay) Hamby; five sisters: Dorothy Mosier, Beulah DeClue, Mary Pollock, Annette (Ralph) Drake, and Kathy (Jim) Jarvis; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and in-laws: Lou Hamby, Carl Crocker, and Jerry Ruby.
Visitation for Bobby will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM, held at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 7, 2018, beginning at 9:00 AM.
A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2018, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at Hopewell Cemetery where Bobby will receive full military honors presented by the United States Army and VFW Post 6996.
