Billy Gene Snell of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 24, 1932 in Anna, Illinois, a son to the late James Snell and the late Grace (Keller) Snell. Bill entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his residence at the age of eighty-five. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Blanche Snell; second wife Maxine Pratte-Snell; seven brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include special family friends: Dave (Patricia) Hill of Potosi, Tim Hill and Angie of Potosi, Brad Drennen of Stony Point. Bill is also survived by a host of dear friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 4:30-8 p.m. and Friday, December 15, from 9-11 a.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Guy Conway officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri. Bill received full military honors presented by the United States Army and the VFW Post 6947.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
