Billy Gene Moses of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 20, 2012 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home having reached the age of sixty eight years, seven months and twenty days. He was born on December 31, 1943 in Potosi, Missouri a son to the late Jewell Moses and Jenevieve (Wilson) Moses.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a daughter Melissa Moses, step son Timothy West, brothers Delain Moses, Lovell Moses, Dan Moses and Bob Moses.
On July 27, 1983, Billy was united in marriage to Edna Rook and they shared twenty nine years together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Edna Moses of Potosi; step mother Clara Moses of Potosi; three children Laura Lewis of Ohio, Ron (Kristina) Moses of Fenton, Billy (Tracy) Moses of Caledonia; four step daughters Barb (Lonnie) Goodson of Belgrade, Donna Scott of Richwoods, Beverly (Joe) Hinch of Cadet, Kimberly Nixon of Cadet; two brothers Lavern (Mary) Moses of St. Louis; Jack Moses of Potosi; two sisters Darlene (Richard) Weihl of Illinois; Arline (John) Koupe of Maryland; two half brothers Michael (Janice) Moses of Potosi; Rick (Leslie) Moses of Potosi; two half sisters Vicki (Eric) Byington of Troy, Missouri; Mary Kay (Richard) Tesson of Oklahoma; two step brothers Marvin (Teresa) Oker of Desloge; Lee Oker of Potosi; ten grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; special friends Don Gregory of Steelville; Brad Nipper of Belgrade; The Blair Boys; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. David Hopkins officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Brad Nipper, R.J. Moses, Bryan Brunk, Matthew Brunk, Nathan Goodson, Michael Moses, Rick Moses and Nicholas Nixon.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Antioch Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
