William ?Bill? Edward Sherman of Park Hills, Missouri departed this life on May 11, 2008, having reached the age of fifty-six years, seven months and five days. He was born on October 6, 1951 at St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Clarence Richard Sherman.
On September 7, 1968, he was united in marriage to Brenda Marler and they shared over thirty-nine years of marriage together.
Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a dear and special brother; uncle; nephew; cousin and friend. Bill was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by many friends and family. He was the former owner of B&B Sherman Wallpapering and Painting. He used to love to hunt and fish, and always loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rev. Floyd Marler and a half-brother, Kevin Hafley.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his beloved wife, Brenda Sherman; three daughters, Sherry Sherman and fianc?, Michael Becker of Granite City, IL, Shelia Serini and husband, Aaron of Leadwood, Chelsea Wishon and husband, Charles of Leadwood; his mother-in-law, Ellen Marler; two brothers, Clarence Sherman and wife, Sandy of IL, Charlie Sherman and wife, Pauline of CO; a sister, Connie Watson and husband, Bill of Richwoods; four half-brothers, Danny Hafley, Steve Hafley, Pat Hafley, Kenny Hafley; seven grandchildren, Ricky Sherman and fianc?, Megan Collins, Timmy Nicholson, Brittany Winchester, Jaren Wishon, Cayden Wishon, Trenton Serini and William Serini; great-grandchild, Alyssa Sherman; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 2 PM at the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Gary Golden officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Wishon, Aaron Serini, Ricky Sherman, Timmy Nicholson, Charlie Sherman and Michael Becker.
Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
