Beverly Arlene “Bev” (Smith) Seim was born on November 18, 1961 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter to Verla A. (Lawson) Mahurin and the late Freddie D. Smith. During her life, Bev became a dedicated mother to three boys: David, Dalton and Dallas. She treasured her life with her boys and embraced every moment with them. Bev went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Mercy Jefferson surrounded by her loved ones having reached fifty-seven years of age.
In addition to her father, Bev is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Margaret Seim; sister-in-law, Patty Rickett; nephews: James Reary and Matthew Reary; paternal grandparents: Fred and Ada (Allen) Smith; and maternal grandparents: George and Dorothy (Swallow) Lawson.
Bev will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her including her three sons: David Klekamp, Dalton Seim and fiancé Felicia White, and Dallas Seim; husband, Mark Seim; mother, Verla A. Mahurin; four siblings: Harriet Collier, Paula (Brett) Jones, Alan (Georgia) Smith, and Dorothy Smith; two granddaughters: Kate Dane and Abby Klekamp; dear family friends: Judy and Alec Roy, and Dennis Blair; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Potosi, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
A funeral service to honor Bev will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019, held at First Baptist Church of Potosi with Pastor Bryce Wilson officiating. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
