Betty Carol Wade of Desloge, Missouri was born on June 27, 1952 in Hopewell, Missouri a daughter of the late William Gensler and the late Ethel (Politte) Gensler. On August 15, 1970 Betty was united in marriage to Eric Wade at the Hopewell Church of God and they shared nearly forty-seven years together.
Betty was united with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at her home having reached the age of sixty-five years and fourteen days.
Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her husband, Rev. Eric Wade of Desloge; son, Eric Wade II of Park Hills; daughter, Andria Wade of Desloge; two brothers: Billy Joe Gensler and wife Elmita of Mineral Point; Gary Gensler and wife Mary of Mineral Point; brothers-in-law, Rev. Jim Wade and George Politte; sisters-in-law: Diane Wade and Judy Politte; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Arvin Dean Gensler; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Rev. Philip and Violet Wade; and brother-in-law Mark Wade.
The Family received friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi.
A Homegoing Service was held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. at House of Praise with Rev. Jim Wade officiating assisted by Bishop Tommy Powell, Rev. David Tennyson and Rev. Paul Smith.
