Betty June LaBudde of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on January 24, 2008 at her residence, having reached the age of seventy one years, six months and twenty-five days. She was born on June 30, 1936 at Desloge, Missouri, a daughter of the late Toney E. Buxton and Dessie F. Brewer Buxton.h
On January 30, 1955, she was united in marriage to James Percy LaBudde at Desloge, Missouri. Mr. LaBudde preceded her in death on February 26, 1992. They shared thirty-seven years of marriage together. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother; a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Betty was known for her great seamstress and craft skills and for many years provided these services for her community friends and family. Betty will be known for her generosity and spirit.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Edgar, Oscar, Arnold, Donald and infant Bobby Buxton; two sisters, Marie Bailey and Ruby Rasnic.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her beloved sons, James M. ?Jim? LaBudde and wife Stacey of Cabot, AR, Timothy L. ?Tim? LaBudde and wife Shelli of Potosi; five wonderful grandchildren, Hunter, Layne and Emma of Cabot, AR; Nicholas and Madison of Potosi; two sisters, Beulah Kernan of Farmington and Ethel Wieble of Desloge; many special nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Alta, Betty, Irene, and Julie Buxton; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Tisha Mundy officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Brett Dickey, Doug Dickey, Rodney Coleman, Woody Woodland, Darren Coleman, Jeff Walker, Dennis Buxton and Tim Whitney.
Interment and final prayers were held at Hopewell Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
