Betty J. (Smith) Giles of St. Louis, Missouri was born on April 15, 1955, a daughter to the late James Smith and the late Ruby Wilkerson. Betty graduated from Central High School in Park Hills, Missouri with the class of 1973. On September 15, 1990, Betty was united in marriage to Ted Giles.
Betty entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the St. Anthony's Medical Center having reached the age of sixty-two.
Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband, Ted Giles of Oakville, MO; son, Tim (Kelly) Gibson of Bonne Terre, MO; daughter, Jeanie (Wayne) Brooks of Bonne Terre, MO; step-son, David (Laurie) Giles of Wildwood, MO; sister, Glenda (Lynn) Coleman of Potosi, MO; six grandchildren: Hannah and Raegan Gibson, Leo West, and Mya, Jacob, and Haylee Brooks; and great-granddaughter Maci Nokes. Betty enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and playing with her dog, Chloe. She loved her grandchildren and her dog very much.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, James (Verla) Smith; mother, Ruby (Bill) Shaw; brother, Hunter Smith; and grandson, William Gibson.
Visitation was Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM with officiating.
Interment and final prayers was held at the St. Francois Memorial Park. Dale Dunlap, Lynn Coleman, Scott Gibson, Wayne Brooks, Leo West and Jacob Brooks.
