Bertha Vance

October 26, 1925 — March 22, 2011

Bertha Marie Vance of Lonedell, Missouri departed this life on March 22, 2011 at her residence having reached the age of eighty five years, four months and twenty four days. She was born on October 26, 1925 at Belgrade, Missouri a daughter to the late Perry Nettles and Cora (Welch) Nettles.

In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Freddie Vance, Sr., son Freddie Vance, Jr., two daughters Betty Cain, Ruby Vance, brother Lester Nettles, three sisters Elsey Wade, Lucy Nettles and Imagene Nettles.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are five sons John Vance of Florida, Perry Vance and wife Anna of Lonedell, Daniel Vance of Mineral Point; Allen Vance and wife Bonnie of Cadet, Ronnie Vance and wife Cindy of Mineral Point, three daughters Tammy Vance and husband Arnold of Mineral Point, Ginny Bryers of Mineral Point, Bonnie Valley of Mineral Point, brother Joe Nettles of Potosi, four sisters Rosie Bridgeman of Farmington, Frances Callahan of Hopewell, Dolly Jenkins and husband Quinton of Potosi, Freda Stringer of Potosi; thirty four grandchildren; forty three great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Frankie DeClue officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Josh Vance, Darrell Vance, Justin Nelson, Jared Cripper, Tim Nelson, Ronnie Vance Jr. Bret Vance, and Robert Cain.

Interment and final prayers were held at Hopewell Cemetery.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
