Bernis Lore

Bernis Henry Lore of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 21, 2013 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of ninety four years and nine months. He was born on November 21, 1918 in Mineral Point, Missouri a son to the late Frank Lore, Jr. and Ruth (Henry) Lore.

In addition to his parents, Bernis was preceded in death by a great grandson Matthew Lore, brother Donald Lore, sister Helen Christopher and a half sister Roxie.

Bernis was united in marriage to Idabelle Litton on July 13, 1940.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife of seventy three years Idabelle Lore of Potosi; two sons Wayne Lore and wife Dorothy of Potosi, Joe Lore and wife Pamela of Potosi; daughter Judy Contreras and husband James of Prescot, Arizona; sister Marge Trubia; ten grandchildren Matthew Lore, Timothy Lore, Andrew Lore, Jeffrey Lore, Luke Lore, Hilary Lore, Ashley Lore, Tonya Copeland, Tracey Contreras, Candy Dailey; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jared Politte, Matt Lore, Andrew Lore, Tim Lore, Jeff Lore and Jeffrey Lore.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the are and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
