Bernice Melinda Knight of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on October 12, 2011 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of seventy three years, eleven months and twenty nine days. She was born on October 13, 1937 at Mineral Point, Missouri a daughter to the late Marvin Laws and Rosie (Lawson) Laws.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by a daughter Tamara Knight, son James Knight and a brother Leonard Laws.
Bernice loved quilting, working puzzles, feeding and watching the birds, and working in her yard.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are a son Rick (Vera) Knight of Cadet; two daughters Kathy (Donnie) Mosier of Stoney Point, Debbie (Mark) Smith of Valles Mines; three grandchildren James Smith, Christopher Smith, Amy Mosier; one great grandchild Tyler Smith; two step grandchildren Kevin (Alicia) Mosier, Tiffany (David) Bridgeman; two step great grandchildren Seth Mosier, Kaitlyn Mosier; sister Norma (Bob) Politte of Ste. Genevieve; two brothers Larry (Sharon) Laws of Bonne Terre, John Laws of Cadet; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 7 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. John Jones officiating.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
