Bernice “Bell” (Cover) Downard of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on July 22, 2010 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty one years, three months and eighteen days. She was born on April 4, 1929 at Ishmael, Missouri a daughter to the late Aberham Cover and Lonna (Johnston) Cover.
Belle always was very happy. She enjoyed being outside and going to town. She liked spending time with family especially, with her nephews Quintin and Kameron. She enjoyed the last few months of her life at home with her brother Leo and wife Marie. She loved being there because she could walk around outside. She liked to set on the pouch swing. Bell always was quick with a joke or story. She was always full of fun and laughter.
In addition to her parents, Bell was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Downard; two brothers Eugene Cover, Elwood Cover; four sisters Dorothy Cover Cooley; Nadeen Cover; Betty Ann Cover and Beulah Cover.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are two brothers Leo Cover, Jr. and wife Marie of Potosi; Donald Cover of Potosi; two sisters Vivian Woods of Marston, Missouri; Roselen Cox of Branson; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 12 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at Antioch Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
