Berna Evans

Berna Dean Evans of Viburnum, Missouri departed this life on December 9, 2013 at Stonecrest Nursing Home having reached the age of ninety four years, one month and three days. She was born on November 6, 1919 in Tyrone, Missouri a daughter to the late Dillard Lay and Dana (Kidd) Lay.
In addition to her parents, Berna was preceded in death by her husband Hayden T. Evans.
Berna was a school teacher for three years in San Diego, California and twelve years in Tyrone, Missouri.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are three sons Gary Evans of Lebanon, Missouri, Dale Evans and wife Loretta of Memphis, Tennessee, David Evans and wife Patti of Potosi; four sisters Bernice Bollmar of Collinsville, Illinois, Marggie Stubbs of St. Louis, Betty Smith of Spring Bay, Illinois, Joan Widemer of Marilyn Heights, Missouri; grandchildren Chris & Amy Mabe, Tiffany & Adam Lake, Brittany & Colby Benson all of Potosi; great grandchildren Dustin, Eli, Thompson, Gunner, Ashton, Lane, Nevaeh, Brooklyn, Jadelen, Brody, Cooper; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, December 12, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Bro. Mike Jarvis officiating.
A private burial will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Tyrone, Missouri Cemetery.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
