Barbara Skaggs

Barbara Fay Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on May 13, 2009 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of sixty one years, one month and one day. She was born on April 12, 1948 at Potosi, Missouri a daughter to the late James Conway and Mabel Meek Conway.

In June 1995, Barb married Jack Skaggs and they shared almost fourteen years.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by a son Mathew Golden; two brothers Bobby Conway and Donald Conway; three sisters Dorothy Tucker, Ruth Russell and Ruby Conway.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her husband Jack Skaggs of Potosi; two sons Daniel Golden and wife Gail of Potosi; Jerry Golden and fianc? Rachel McEwen of Potosi; step son Clayton Skaggs and wife Nancy of Kirkwood; a sister Edna Conway of Desoto; two brothers Bill Conway of Imperial; Dick Conway of High Ridge; seven grandchildren Madilyn Skaggs, Brittney Golden, Brandon Golden, Jerry Golden Jr., Ember Golden, Ryan Golden, Jacob McEwen; special friend Erma; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. George DeClue and Rev. Keith King officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Joe Courtois, Joe Russell, James Conway, Donnie Mellerup, Jacob McEwen and John Mayberry.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
