Barbara Hanshew

September 14, 1938 — July 29, 2016

Barbara Joanne Hanshew went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday evening, July 29, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 14, 1938, in Arcadia, Kansas, a daughter to the late Herbert Darnaby and the late Jesse Barbara (Tingley) Sanchez.

On March 11, 1954, Barbara was united in marriage to Bill Hanshew in Modesto, California. To this union there were six children born.

Barbara is survived by her five children: Dr. Bill G. Hanshew and wife Faye of Rolla, Missouri; Garry Hanshew of Pacific, Missouri; Gregory Hanshew of Fontana, California; Cheryl Hanshew of Potosi, Missouri and David Hanshew and wife Valerie of Fredericktown, Missouri; one brother, Ron Darnaby and wife Janet of Galena, Kansas; one sister, Marie Crabtree of Boliver, Missouri; also surviving are twenty five grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her step father, John Sanchez; husband, Rev. Bill Hanshew; son Steven Hanshew and sister Sherry Ward.

Visitation for Barbara will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Hopewell Church of God from 9:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jim wade will officiate Ms. Hanshew's service.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Palmer Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
