Barbara Allen

Barbara ?Pat? Rifenburg Allen of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 10, 2006 at her residence, having reached the age of 65 years, 10 months and 30 days. She was born on October 11, 1940 at Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter of the late Russell Ward and Laura (Pratt) Ward.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Ward, Floyd Ward, John Ward and Jerry Ward; two sisters, Viola Dean and Alma McFall.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her daughters, Debbie Greenlee and husband Gary of Potosi, Cheryl Crocker and husband Randy of Potosi, Lisa Mattioli and husband Matt of Potosi, Margaret Mosier and husband Wayne of Bismarck, Evelyn Pierce and husband Greg of Potosi, and Patricia Wright of Potosi; her sons, Allen Rifenburg and wife Tammy of Potosi, Matt Rifenburg and fiance? Sarah Shepard of Potosi; a brother , Carl Ward and wife Vickie of Potosi; twenty five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri, with Rev. Robert Thurman and Rev. Jim Cartee officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Greg Pierce, Wayne Mosier, Gary Greenlee Sr., Matt Rifenburg, Billy Gleeson, Gary Greenlee Jr., Paul Tindall Jr. and Matt Mattioli.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri.
