Arvel Hammor

Arvel Clarence Hammor of Festus, Missouri departed this life on October 7, 2009 at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital having reached the age of seventy eight years, seven months and ten days. He was born on February 27, 1931 at Lonedell, Missouri a son to the late Lewis Hammor and Lauraetta (Warren) Hammor.

In addition to his parents, Arvel was preceded in death by a son Jeff Hammor; three brothers Clifford Hammor, Jewell Hammor, Alonzo Hammor; sister Alma Lore; step daughter Leslie Dawn Eckhoff; step son Michael Eckoff; mother of his children Kathryn Ruby Ruble.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are three daughters Anita Biesemeyer and husband Richard of Pevely; Regina Madonna and husband Kevin of Festus; Debroah Freeman of Texas; son Bradley Hammor of Eureka; two step sons Randy Eckhoff and wife Linda of Potosi; Danny Eckhoff and wife Brenda of Cadet; five step daughters Donna Karsch and husband John of Potosi; Lisa Norviel and husband Don of Potosi; Peggy Stafford of Texas; Darla Sansoucie and husband Richard of St. Louis; Laura Tomasetti of St. Louis; thirty seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Ray Thurman officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Cory Sansoucie, Rick Biesemeyer, Ron Peterson, Battle Tomasetti and Kyle Conway.

Interment and final prayers were held at Woodlawn Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
