Arthur Harry "Art" Nichols of Potosi, Missouri entered into rest on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at his residence having reached the age of ninety two years and nineteen days. He was born on December 1, 1922 in Latty Route (Potosi, Missouri) a son to the late Harry Nichols and Alice (Yelch) Nichols.
On May 5, 1946, Art was united in marriage to Eunice Griggs in Potosi, Missouri and they shared nearly forty six years together. To this union three children were born.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his dear companion Anna Crutcher of Potosi, Mo.; four children Annette Garcia of St. Louis, Mo.; Rita Crisp and husband Gary of Priest River, Idaho; James "Jim" Nichols and friend Tina Ray of Caledonia, Mo.; Barbara Siebert and husband Bill of High Ridge, Mo.; honorary daughter Debbie Mull and husband Kenny of Potosi, Mo.; sister Dorothy Wideman of Ware, Mo.; four grandchildren Bobby Coleman and wife Paula; Darrell Coleman and wife Angel; Angie Nichols; Joddi Govero and husband Jeff; twelve great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
In addition to his father and mother, Art was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eunice Nichols on August 25, 1992; grandson Anthony Thomas; two sisters Lorene Nichols and Marie Burget; brother Lee Roy Nichols; half-sister Mildred Boyd; son-in-law Joe Garcia; two brothers-in-law Lynn Wideman and Carroll Burget; two sisters-in-law Vernel Nichols and Gladys Eye.
Visitation for Art will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 4:30-8:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High St. Potosi, Mo. 63664.
Visitation will resume on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church 10085 Pleasant Hill Rd. Potosi, Mo. 63664.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church with Bro. Mark Wilkinson officiating assisted by Bro. Carl Wilson.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
