Arthur “Buck” Sancegrow was born on April 29, 1928, of Mineral Point, Missouri, a son of the late George Sancegrow and the late Emmaline (Williams) Sancegrow. Arthur departed this life on September 10, 2016 at the St. Anthony’s Medical Center having reached the age of eighty eight years, five months, and six days.
Buck worked as a construction worker in St. Louis during his younger years. Afterwards, he then went to work in Washington County as a truck driver for the Tiff Mill and also as a bus driver for the R-3 School District. Buck also owned his own leather shop for many years of his life. He made many beautiful belts and billfolds.
Buck is survived by sister, Lubell Fowler of Owensville; sister-in-law, Emma Sancegrow of Bonne Terre; special friends: Chester and Mae Rulo of Mineral Point; and also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Buck is preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Edward Sancegrow; infant brother: Lawrence Sancegrow; sister, Goldie Douglas, and special friends: Lenora Rhine and Maxine O’Neail.
Visitation for Buck was held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 9:00 AM. A funeral service began at 12:00 Noon on Friday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
