Arnold Eugene Pashea Sr., a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on May 6, 1950, in St. Louis City, Missouri, Arnold was the son of the late Albert Eugene Pashea and Virgie Louise (Lutes) Pashea. He is remembered for his generous spirit and his love for family and friends.
Arnold dedicated many years of his professional life to the shipyards of St. Louis. Following his career at the shipyards, Arnold went to work at the Silvey Farm. He enjoyed his career, particularly during the very brief time he spent in the logging industry alongside his sons, Joey and Arnold Jr. Arnold's work ethic was evident throughout his various roles.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Arnold was a man of wide-ranging interests. He was known for his charm and was often found making friends at Potosi Manor, where he enjoyed serving coffee and brightening the days of those around him, especially the ladies. He loved watching Westerns, particularly the classic "Gunsmoke," In his younger years, Arnold enjoyed riding horses and participating in team sorting at the Silvey Farm. One of his favorite pastimes was gathering with family and friends at deer camp, creating lasting memories in the great outdoors.
Arnold's deep love for his family was a defining aspect of his life. He is survived by his four children: Arnold Pashea Jr. (wife, Tera), Joey Pashea (wife, NickCole), Keith Pashea (wife, Micheala), and Justin Gamble (wife, Ashley). He leaves behind a legacy of 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Additionally, Arnold is survived by his siblings Ronnie Pashea (wife, Shelba) and Mary Pashea, as well as sister-in-law Kathy Pashea, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his beloved son Orville Pashea, his great-grandson Easton Smith, and three siblings: Betty Frizzell, Judy Pate, and Jerry Pashea. His absence will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation for Arnold will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. Interment and final prayers will be held at the Pashea Family Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
