Arnold Link

Arnold Lee Link of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on December 21, 2010 at Des Peres Hospital having reached the age of seventy four years, two months and fourteen days. He was born on October 7, 1936 at Cadet, Missouri a son to the late Melvin Link and Emma (Head) Link.

Arnold enjoyed watching sports and especially liked watching the cardinals. He spent many years farming and raising cattle. He enjoyed the outdoors and in his later years, he almost always had a dog around to keep him company. Arnold retired from the Local 513.

Family was a significant part of Arnold’s life. He would often plan to visit his family. He especially liked it when he could welcome a new addition, like a baby, to the family.

When he wasn’t visiting family, you could bet he would be on the telephone. He always knew the local news in and around Potosi.

In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by two sisters Ruth Evans, Juanita Yates; two brothers Earl Link and Vincent Link.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are a sister Norma Miller and husband Ronald of Fredericktown; two brothers Harold Link and wife Betty of Cadet, Troy Link and wife Dorothy of Potosi; two sisters in law Shirley Link, wife of the late Vincent Link; Shirley Link, wife of the late Earl Link; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 1 PM at the Declue Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Dennis McEntire, Scott Miller, Jason White, John Cook, Don Wall, John Pratt, Keith King, Matt Yates and Rodney Hayes.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
