Archie Masson

May 27, 1937 — January 5, 2006

Archie Lee Masson of Irondale, Missouri departed this life on January 5, 2006 at Santa Monica Hospital in Rosarito, Mexico, having reached the age of 68 years, 7 months and 9 days. He was born on May 27, 1937 at Mineral Point, Missouri, a son of Helen (White) Masson and the late Lydle Lee Masson.

In addition to his father, Archie was preceded in death by his daughter, Lydia Masson, a sister, Helen Masson and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ivan and Dorothy Jinkerson.

Archie was a member of the Mineral Point Methodist Church and a Charter Member of the Eagles Lodge in Desloge. He loved to fish and did just that every chance he got. He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and friend.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his son, Jeffrey Masson (from the marriage of Archie and Patricia Jinkerson Masson) and Jeffrey?s wife Kathy of Irondale; his mother, Helen Masson of Mineral Point; three sisters, Nina Smith and husband Don of Potosi, Ethel Boucher and husband James of Selmer, TN, Robin Portell and husband Vincent of Cadet; grandchildren, Jeffrey Lee Masson, II and Jordan Masson; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Ray Jarvis officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeffrey Masson, Jeffrey Masson, II, Jordan Masson, Chris Portell, Bob Portell, Don Smith and honorary pallbearer, Marvin Jinkerson.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Masson Family Cemetery, Irondale. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
