Annaruth "Anna" Dour, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 84. Born on December 24, 1939, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, Anna's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for God. She cherished her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, devoting herself to reading her Bible and praying.
For many years, Anna found joy in attending Harvest Christian Centre, where she became a cherished member whose absence will be deeply felt. Her faith was an integral part of her identity, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her.
Anna was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She expressed her creativity through art, demonstrating her remarkable skill as a talented drawer. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Her passion for crafting led her to continuously seek out new projects, always creating something unique and special. A lover of the outdoors, Anna's hands were seldom idle; she always kept herself busy.
Her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Lee; three cherished grandchildren, Zach McFadden, Devin Dour, and Megan Aldridge; and her three great grandchildren, Ali Aldridge, Mason Aldridge, and Lydia McDowell. Anna also leaves behind her dear sister, Lori (Steve) Kremer, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who hold her memory close to their hearts.
Anna's legacy is enriched by the love and warmth she shared with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruth Ashby; her beloved daughter, Angela Dour; her great granddaughter, Nevaeh Aldridge; and her siblings, Jerry Ashby, Grace Britch, Ray Ashby, and Michael Ashby Sr.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1 PM held at DeClue Family Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri. This gathering will provide all who knew and loved Anna an opportunity to celebrate her remarkable life and memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DeClue Funeral Home in memory of Anna.
Anna Dour will forever be remembered as a loving individual who brought light into the lives of those around her. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly as a testament to the love she shared.
