Anna Marie Jarvis of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on May 14, 2012 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home having reached the age of ninety three years and eight days. She was born on May 6, 1919 in Shirley, Missouri a daughter to the late George Bohannon and Lula (Coleman) Bohannon.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband Willie (Bill) Jarvis; six sisters Myrtle and Mary died in infancy; Lucy Morgan; Bessie Staples; Laura Phipps; Emma Coffman; two brothers Armon Bohannon and Everett Bohannon.
Anna and husband Bill were the owners and operators of grocery stores in and around Potosi most of their married life, making many acquaintances and friends.
Anna enjoyed doing many different hobbies and crafts. She also was an author of many beautiful poems. She was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. Anna was a longtime member of the Potosi Southern Baptist Church and enjoyed passing her love for Jesus to those she would meet.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons Edward Jarvis and wife Markette of Arizona; Bill Jarvis and wife Carmen of California; two daughters Patricia Brakefield and husband Dick of Potosi; Connie Link of Potosi; five grandsons Donald Brakefield of Potosi; Wesley Brakefield of Potosi; Chad Link of Potosi; Todd Jarvis of LaMesa, California; Tommie Jarvis of LaMesa, California; one granddaughter Tonya Howard of LaMesa, California; several great grandchildren; beloved nieces are Beulah Schrum, Margaret Clifton, Joan Blair, Lena Best and other nephews and nieces and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 2 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Dave Skaggs officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at Lost Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
