Angela Volner

Angela Susan Volner of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on February 14, 1948 in St Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Johanna Hanni (Topelewski) Shepard. Angela passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, having reached the age of 76.

Angela will be deeply missed by her husband of 57 years, Mike Volner; two children: Dave Volner (Fiancé Lisa Boyer), Sherri Johner (husband, Ron); grandchildren: Jeremy Coleman, Alisha Volner, Cameron Coleman (wife, Alie), Lily Volner; 8 great grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Knowles, Sandra Shelton (husband, Dean), Steve Shepard (Julie), Tim Shepard (wife, Pam), and John Shepard. Angela is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her mother, Angela was preceded in death by her siblings: Donna Kay, Tom Shepard, Becky Hedrick, and Dorcas Walton.

Angela loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed cooking and going out to the lake, typically staying for a few days. In the past she used to crochet a lot until she got to where she couldn't see anymore. In her younger days, she was a good artist. She is going to be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Service at 1 p.m., held at DeClue Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Parker will officiate her service. Interment and final prayers will follow the service in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi, MO.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DeClue Funeral Home, in care of her services.
