Alvenia Francis Thomas of Bland, Missouri formerly of Potosi was born on February 9, 1934 in Ishmael, Missouri, a daughter to the late Noah Breakfield and the late Nettie (White) Breakfield. Alvenia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May, 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family, having reached the age eighty-four years, three months and twenty days.
Alvenia will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband Bill Thomas; sister, Dollie Moses; two daughters: Janice Weiss and Fiance` Bob Schumer of Bismarck, MO.; Lesa (Tom) Villmer of Farmington, MO.; two daughters whom she raised as her own: Lois Haworth of Potosi, MO.and Karen (Jack) Gilliam LaRussell, MO.; six grandchildren: Marisa (Andy) Cook, Nicholas (Kim) Weiss, Megan (Nathan) Allen, Jordan Villmer and Fiance` Katherine Mackie, Meridee (Kyle) Ryder, Natalie Gilliam; seven great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Cody, Bella, Reagen, Rilee, Harper and Alexander; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her father and mother, Alvenia was preceded in death by her son Ronnie Moses; six brothers: Clyde, Lennie, Lawrence, Jimmy, Ernest and Roy Breakfield and dear brother-in-law, Gilbert Moses; two sisters: Pearl Marie Brakefield and Ruby Ferguson; son-in-law, Jim Haworth.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, June 2, from 9-11 a.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating, assisted by Bro. Roy Lynn Brakefield.
Interment and final prayers will be held at Lost Creek Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted into the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
