Alta Mae Moore of Quaker, Missouri passed away on May 17, 2013 at the Parkland Health Center having reached the age of ninety three years, seven months and twenty days. She was born on September 27, 1919 in Ishmael, Missouri a daughter to the late Frank J. Hopkins and Helen Francis (Holman) Hopkins.
In addition to her parents, Alta was preceded in death by her first husband Norman E. Robinson, Sr in October 1950; her second husband John L. Moore in 2001 after sharing forty six years together; three sisters Esther Zimmer, Marple Zdvorak, Opal Isaak; two brothers Pearn Hopkins and Harold Hopkins.
Alta was a regular attendee at Hazel Creek Church of God. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, great great aunt and loyal friend to many.
Those who remain to mourn her passing include her son Norman E. Robinson, Jr. and wife Susan of Quaker, Missouri; four grandchildren Amy Bielicke, Rachel Thomas, Josephine Swaringim and husband Greg, Taylor Robinson; four great grandchildren Jordan Soaib, Brittan Thomas, London Bielicke, Silas Swaringim; sister in law Pauline Hopkins of Ishmael, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Akers officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Eddie Johnston, Tony Orta, Joel Zimmer, Chris Chapman, Larry Hopkins and Norman E. Robinson, Jr.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Antioch Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
