Allen Werley

Allen Dewayne Werley of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 13, 2013 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of sixty seven years, nine months and nine days. He was born on November 4, 1945 in Desloge, Missouri a son to the late John Wilson and Alice Werley.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by two brothers John E. Wilson and James B. Wilson.

Allen served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1970.

On February 1, 1969, Allen was united in marriage to Barbara Rawson and they shared forty four years together.

He attended the First Baptist Church in Potosi.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Barbara Werley of Potosi; two daughters Jeanne Moberly and husband Smiley of Schocnoh, Kentucky, Jessica Meredith and husband Derek of Russell Springs, Kentucky; brother Robert Werley and wife Krissi of Franklin, Kentucky; three sisters Effie Louise Huff and husband Richard of Phoenix, Arizona, Patricia Wilson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Angie Allen and husband Paul of Arizona; six grandchildren Mallory Cardwell, Alexander Meredith, Sebastian Meredith, Preston Moberly, Mathew Short, Brittany Schrader; great grandchild Tucker Cardwell; mother in law Barbara Jean Rawson; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2 PM at the Potosi First Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Crocker and Rev. Jamie Haguewood officiating.

All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
