Albert Sims

Albert Lowell Sims of Sullivan, Missouri was born on January 27, 1930, a son to the late William Riley Sims and the late Sylvia (Jernigan) Sims. On Monday, October 23, 2017, Albert entered eternal rest at if Life Care Center of Sullivan having reached the age of eighty-seven years, eight months, and twenty-six days.

Albert will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his children: Sheila Rayoum of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, Chris Worley and wife Karen of Osage Beach, Mo., Diana Dussold and husband Al of Bismarck, Mo., Carla Whitter and husband George of Lemay, Mo., Kevin Worley and wife Gail of Cedar Hill, Mo., Mechele Johnson and husband Jerry of Leasburg, Mo., and Albert Sims, Jr. and wife Debra of Lonedell, Mo.; brother, Noel Sims and wife Rita of St. Charles, Mo.; sister, Orene Kreider of Bridgeton, Mo.; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Fran Sims of St. Louis County; and previous wife, Velta R. McCummiskey of Silva, Mo.

In addition to his parents, Albert is preceded in death by his 1st wife and mother of his children, Maxine (Barton) Sims; son, Kim Worley; five grandchildren; brothers: Ray Sims and wife Mary, Gene Sims, and Paul Sims and wife Lucille; sister, Norene Sims; son-in-law, Kenny Rayoum; and brother-in-law, Rich Kreider.

Visitation for Albert will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 10:30 AM.

A funeral service for Albert will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tom Willis officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. All funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
