Abagail Skaggs

Abagail Darline (Jones) Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on June 8, 2008 at St. Louis University Hospital, having reached the age of nineteen years, nine months and ten days. She was born at Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1988, a daughter of Edward Jones and Laura Jones.

She was united in marriage to Robert Skaggs, Jr. on January 7, 2006. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, niece, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a member of the Ozark Heights Baptist Church and was in love with life.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her husband, Robert Skaggs, Jr.; her father, Edward Jones and wife, Melissa of Steelville; her mother, Laura Jones of Las Vegas; three sons, Logan Williams, Tyson Skaggs, Gage Skaggs; her grandparents, Bob and Norma Volner of Potosi; Peggy Jones and Mack Sharp of Whiting, Indiana; one brother Michael Mengon of Las Vegas; her mother-in-law, Glenda Thompson of DeSoto; her father-in-law, Robert Skaggs, Sr. and wife, Marie of Mineral Point; a step-brother, Jody Story of Steelville; two brothers-in-law, Jeff Skaggs of Mineral Point and Justin Parrish of DeSoto; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; her best friend, Courtney Dobbs Shivers and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 1 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
